Custom picture framing
Selecting the right frame, glass, mat and backing can enhance and maintain your artwork for years to come. The materials you choose are imperative to the overall design and preservation of your piece.
Made here
Every frame is cut, joined, matted and fitted in our own workshop on Central Street. Nothing is sent out, which means we control the quality and we can talk you through exactly what is happening to your piece.
Conservation glazing
UV-filtering glass and acrylic that blocks roughly 99% of the light responsible for fading.
Hand-cut matting
Acid-free rag and alpha-cellulose board, cut and bevelled to the piece rather than to a standard size.
Archival mounting
Reversible hinging and mounting, so an original is never permanently altered.
Shadow boxes
Depth-built cases for jerseys, medals, instruments, gowns and other objects.
Canvas stretching
Stretcher bars built to size, finished with a float frame or left open-edged.
Mirrors & oversize
Large-format mouldings and mirror work for statement walls and hallways.
Three ways to buy
Not every piece needs a bespoke commission. Pick the level that suits the work — the materials stay archival either way.

How it works
Bring the piece in. We look at it in daylight, talk through where it will hang, and listen before suggesting anything. Consultations are free and walk-ins are welcome.
Mouldings and mats are laid directly against your work so you see the real combination. Glazing and mounting are agreed here, along with the price.
Cut, joined, matted and fitted in our own workshop. Archival materials throughout, and most orders are ready in two to three weeks.
Take it home finished and ready to hang, with hardware suited to your wall. For larger groupings our design studio will set the layout out for you.
Framing questions
The Value Package uses our in-stock frame options and includes conservation glass, drymount on foamcore and a professional fit, at 50% off. No coupon is required — just ask when you come in.
Yes. We build the stretcher bars to size and stretch the canvas in house, then finish it with a float frame or leave the edges exposed, whichever suits the piece.
No. We use reversible archival mounting so the work is not permanently altered. Anything valuable, signed or original is hinged rather than adhered, and objects in shadow boxes are stitched or supported rather than glued.
Yes. Shadow boxes handle three-dimensional keepsakes such as jerseys, medals, instruments, christening gowns and diplomas, mounted so they can be removed again later.
